The Nakuru Regional Youth & Schools Chess Qualifiers is an official Chess Kenya–sanctioned tournament organized by the Nakuru County Chess Association. The event brings together young chess players from schools, clubs, and academies across the region to compete for honors and qualification to the National Championships.
The tournament will be held on 7th March 2026, starting at 9:00 AM, with the venue to be announced. It will be played over 6 rounds using the Swiss pairing system, with a time control of 30 minutes per player.
The competition is open to all players in the following age categories: Under 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18. The entry fee is Ksh 800 per participant, and all players must register by 5th March 2026.

Players who score 2 points or more will qualify for the National Event
