2ND CHESS KENYA ADVANCED ARBITERS SEMINAR | 14–15 NOVEMBER 2026

A Kenyan Arbiter must be highly competent, technically proficient, adaptable, and exceptional in their skill set.

The Organizers and Arbiters Committee invites Kenyan arbiters to an Advanced Arbiters Seminar designed to enhance their technical capabilities through practical training on DGTs and Broadcasting. An arbiter leaving this seminar will be able to:

• Setup up Digital Game Technology Systems (DGT Boards),
• Live game transmission,
• YouTube/Other Platform video broadcasting, and
• Live commentary.

As Kenyan chess continues to evolve, the expectations placed on arbiters extend beyond officiating to include the ability to support and manage the technological infrastructure of modern chess tournaments. Our objective is to develop a more versatile, confident, and technically competent Kenyan arbiter, capable of independently setting up and managing live tournament broadcasts, supporting professional event production, and delivering tournaments that meet international standards.

These additional competencies will not only improve the quality of chess events in Kenya but also create greater opportunities for arbiters to secure appointments and undertake specialised technical roles in national, regional, and international tournaments.

Invest in your professional excellence, expand opportunities available to you, and raise the standards of chess arbitration in Kenya.
